The Insulin Pump portable delivery system (pictured) provides a "freedom of lifestyle" change for diabetics requiring Insulin use. The solution was made possible with the use of a Shape Memory Alloy wire actuator designed and manufactured by Autosplice. We have also developed a variety of custom latch releasing and latching devices that can provide robust operation and still incorporate all the benefits of a Shape Memory Actuator; low cost, low power, less heat, light weight and quiet operation.
